The original outline planning application for commercial units with a floor area of 46,263 square metres, submitted in 2015, was refused by Maidstone Borough Council.

The applicant then submitted an appeal, which was withdrawn.

A second outline planning application for units having a floor area of 45,295 square metres was submitted in 2017 and approved, with conditions, by Maidstone Borough Council on 20th July 2018.
